Hello SFAR!
During this Black History Month we encourage you to embrace the concept that Black History is American History. February is a month for education, coming together, and celebrating Black Culture and Americans that influence our everyday lives in this country. Notably, the 2022 national theme of Black History Month is Black Health and Wellness.
SFAR's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee has curated a few ways you can participate in supporting black businesses, art, and joining in community events for celebration and awareness:
"More Than a Month 2022": Events from the San Francisco Public Library
Music, Art and Community: An Events Listing by Datebook
MOAD Online
African American Art & Culture Complex
Black-owned restaurants, pop-ups and caterers in the Bay Area
