Prepare for the Super-Regional SFARMLS Launch on January 20th!
January 7, 2021
Dear Members:
On Wednesday, January 20, we are thrilled to be launching a Super-Regional version of the SFARMLS!
THE BENEFIT:
You will have a one-stop, single-login access to thousands of listings throughout 22 counties spanning from the Greater Bay Area and Silicon Valley to the Monterey Coastline, up through the Central Valley to Sacramento and Nevada.
We collaborated with six other leading MLSs to form the NorCal MLS Alliance and spent more than two years of technical development to create this new product. What this means for homebuyers and sellers is expanded property listing search options and more marketing exposure for their properties. We can't wait to bring this to you on January 20!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW:
In preparation for the launch on January 20, follow this checklist to make sure you are ready to go:
Ensure any new listings you take are inputed into SFARMLS first. You can still enter them into reciprocal MLS systems, but you will need to withdraw them following the guideline in Item 2.
Be prepared to withdraw your Paragon MLS system and MLSListings MLS system reciprocal listings by January 18.(You do not need to withdraw listings in BAREIS or MetroList as you will continue to have full access to them after launch.) CLICK HEREfor help on how to withdraw listings properly.
Make backups of your CONTACTS and SEARCHES from any reciprocal MLS systems (Paragon, MLSListings, BAREIS, MetroList, MLSListings, and Quattro) as these will not be copied over.CLICK HERE for help on how to conduct exports from the various systems.
Make backups of any CURRENT CLIENT PORTAL SEARCHES you are using in SFARMLS just in case they do not convert properly at launch. It is important that any clients you are working with right now are not lost, so please make backups. CLICK HEREfor instructions on how to make a backup of your SFARMLS client portal information.
If you use a customized set of fields in the One Line Grid displays in search results, you will have to save that customized display in order to preserve it. CLICK HERE for instructions on how to rename your current One Line Grid display.
REQUIRED RECONFIGURATIONS:
Some features are changing completely during the conversion and you will need to recreate them after the launch, including:
Any Rapattoni-Framed IDX links will need to be regenerated and updated on any sites where you are using them after the launch on January 20.
Single-Sign On (SSO) will no longer exist! If you have built any business processes around the use of SSO into other MLS systems, you will have to assess how best to modify those processes for post-launch. Examples include: any exports you are doing.
SFARMLS Custom Exports will not be copied over to the new Super Regional system. If you are using tailed/specific custom exports currently, you will have to rebuild these in the new system post-launch. A benefit here is that you will have access to more fields and richer data in your newly created exports.
IMPORTANT OFFLINE NOTE:
The SFARMLS will go offline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, and will be back online by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20. During this time you will have no access to the SFARMLS. Thank you for your patience. This is unavoidable due to the technical requirements of the changeover.
